Filmed entirely in macro during the 2026 Israeli attacks on Lebanon, this short gets close to the ground, and opens a window into the hidden world of Lebanon’s wild plants and their resistance and survival mechanisms. As voice messages from botanists and plant lovers drift over the images, we meet the stories these species carry: chemical defenses, physical armor, strategies for surviving invasion and erasure. No humans appear on screen; the plants themselves are the film’s protagonists. We hear their voices, their songs. The film becomes a lesson in listening across species, a space for reflection and learning from the land’s real keepers. Rooted in Lebanese ecology, it draws a parallel between botanical resilience and the land’s own history of endurance — a meditation on what it means to resist, told at the scale of a leaf.
