Betty Taoutel is a Lebanese actress, author, and theater director who has passionately pursued her career on both stage and screen. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Stage Studies, a Master’s in Dramaturgy, and a DEA in Theater Studies, she has been teaching at USJ since 1999 and has also taught at INBA and USEK. Betty has performed in numerous plays and productions, collaborating with renowned Lebanese and Arab directors in Beirut and abroad. She has appeared in various television series and films. As an accomplished playwright and director, her notable works include “Ekher Beyt Bel Gemmayzé” (2010), “El Orb3a bi Noss el Jom3a” (2012-2013), and “Passeport No 10452,” performed in Arabic and French across international stages. Her latest theatrical creation is “MONO-PAUSE,” reflecting her ongoing inspiration from Lebanese current events. In 2018, she was honored with the “Murex d’or” award for her significant contributions to theater.
